Scent Lilt

Fragrance allergen & scent safety tools

About Scent Lilt

Scent Lilt is a small set of free tools for two groups of people: those with fragrance allergies or sensitive skin who want to read cosmetic and home-fragrance labels, and small makers of candles, wax melts, soap and cosmetics in the UK, EU and US who need to label their products correctly.

How it works

Every tool runs in your browser. The ingredient lists, allergen declarations and label details you type are processed on your own device and are never uploaded. The site uses Cloudflare Web Analytics to count page views, without cookies or cross-site tracking; it never receives what you type or paste into the tools.

Where the facts come from

The allergen list, thresholds and dates come from the EU and GB legal texts themselves (EUR-Lex and legislation.gov.uk), the label rules from the CLP Regulation, the US position from the FDA and the Federal Register, and the pet guidance from veterinary toxicology sources: the Merck Veterinary Manual, Pet Poison Helpline, the ASPCA Animal Poison Control Center and peer-reviewed papers. Each page lists its sources and the date we checked anything that can change; at the time of writing that is 3 November 2026.

What it is not

Scent Lilt is general information. It is not medical, veterinary or legal advice, and its tools do not classify products: the CLP label maker and the allergen calculator format and check the data from your own supplier's safety data sheet and allergen declaration. If a product gives you a reaction, see a doctor or pharmacist; if a pet may be poisoned, call your vet or a poison line.

Found a mistake? The tools are only as good as their sources, so check any surprising result against the source listed on the page.
